What SmartBank prepares
Import a supported bank statement, review transactions, reuse recurring allocations where appropriate and reconcile the cashbook before export. A CSV-only route is also available when you want to finish preparation in your accounting software.
How the file moves across
Use the SmartBank cashbook export/import workflow compatible with your Pastel product and version. Confirm the exact product, version and required fields before using a new layout.
Check before importing
- Choose the correct company and bank account.
- Confirm dates, amount signs and any required account mappings.
- Review your opening/closing balances and overlapping periods.
- Use the destination package’s import review and check the resulting entries.
